This guide explains the various Bet types currently available on the BetOnMarkets platform.  It was revised in 2011 just after BetOnMarkets restructured and introduced their new functionality.

There are currently six Bet type categories.  Four of them allow various market positions to be taken based on applied technical and fundamental analysis.  Two of them can be considered “gambling” as they could not possibly be used as part of a well constructed Fixed Odds Trading strategy.  The latter are “coin-flip” bets based on what the market may do in the next few seconds/minutes, go to the casino rather than use these.

Rise/Fall Bet Type

Use this to bet that a particular market will Rise/Fall Above/Below the current spot price at the end of a specified period of time.  This video and detailed explanation of the Rise/Fall Bet Type provides further information.

Higher/Lower Bet Type

Similar to the Rise/Fall only this bet is used to bet that a particular market will finish Higher/Lower than a specified price at the end of a specified period of time.  This video and detailed explanation of the Higher/Lower Bet Type provides further information.

Touch/No Touch Bet Type

Use this to bet that a particular market will Touch/Not Touch a specified price during a specified period of time.  This video and detailed explanation of the Touch/No Touch Bet Type provides further information.

In/Out Bet Type

Use this to bet that a particular market will stay within/go outside two specified prices during a specified period of time.  These videos and detailed explanations of the In/Out Bet Type provide further information.

Run Bets

Short term bets for gamblers with no real use in relation to Fixed Odds Trading.

Up & Down Bets

This is another Bet type with no real use for in relation to Fixed Odds Trading.
